Came here for the Louisiana Fried Chicken.

I've had it before looooong time ago in different location & I was happy to see that there is a franchise of the same fried chicken here in the valley..

So I was introducing this fried chicken to my boyfriend. We got the 8 pieces bucket with side of fries & 4 rolls.

He liked it! So mission accomplished!

    Will definitely go back again

Bummed. Photos and reviews of the fried chicken were amazing, but I did not get the same experience. Still, good chicken. Good seasoning on skin and fresh, so worth the wait time. They could work on flavoring chicken meat. Also, it's pretty cheap.

Wouldn't want to eat inside. Their soda machine sounds broken so it makes an obnoxious clicking sound every few seconds. If I do dine in, it would be good for a party of 4, no more.

I don't think I'd go for the Chinese food. The food looked like it was sitting the entire day and you can see the broccoli browning. Also saw how they served a few customers. The broccoli for the chicken teriyaki bowl comes from the broccoli & beef entree. I guess that's one way to save resources, but they could be mixing other food entrees frequently.

I must have walked or driven past this place hundreds if not thousands of times and never given it a second thought. But it was late, and I was standing there last night and noticed the little Louisiana Chicken sign on the window.  Fried Chicken sounded like just the thing. And when I read some of the reviews here, I figured it was worth a try.

The chicken was made fresh to order so, yes, there was a bit of a wait. But I don't mind waiting when it's being made fresh to order just for me. I give it a solid four stars - really four and a half. The chicken was hot, crispy, salty and well-seasoned, with a satisfying crunch. The only downside was that it was just slightly over-cooked.  Not enough to dry it out, but it made the chicken just a tad rubbery. But I will definitely be back.

Like many others, I stopped by solely for Great China Express' Louisiana-style fried chicken. Keep in mind it is cooked to order, meaning you will have to wait at least 15 minutes for it to be ready, depending on how many pieces you order.

    FOOD:
Family Pack (12pcs fried chicken with fries and 6 rolls): Good. The chicken was freshly fried, while the golden brown skin was crispy; the meat was perfectly cooked. Flavor wise, it was seasoned well enough, but it tasted like a simple salt, pepper, and flour dredge. I couldn't figure out what made it Louisiana-style. The fries were soft, but good; I actually enjoy soggy fries. A lot of the reviews keep mentioning Hawai'ian rolls, but I found the bread to be regular dinner rolls.

Vegetable Chow Mein (large): Good, but it's ordinary take-out chow mein. The noodles were plentiful and cooked well, though.

Vegetable Fried Rice (small): Basic fried rice, but actually had decent flavor. The guy who scooped the rice packed the small container well.

Long story short, their popular fried chicken is pretty good, reasonably priced, and a solid lunch or take-out option in the area.

I don't know about the Chinese Food, but the Fried Chicken is some of the best fried chicken on the planet!!!  This is a Louisiana's Famous Fried Chicken Franchise!!!  Oh yes, it is!!!

Everyone raves about some sort of fried chicken place.  My favorite spot right now is Gus's World Famous out on Crenshaw, but this is a close second. The food is fantastic, and always made fresh to order, so you will have to be patient, takes right about 20 minutes to those perfectly spiced and perfectly fried pieces of joy, so I order ahead of time!

I love getting a half chicken and some slaw (the slaw is great). Never, ever a disappointment, food is great and the the "mom and pop" (which they most certainly are) are always super nice and friendly.

Don't wet the bed, get your Louisiana Fried Chicken on!!!
